2017 Association Championships

Under the cover of darkness in cold and foggy conditions the squad teams embarked on our final trip to contest the North East Zone Association Championships in Albury on June 4th.

15&Under Gold tried hard but had a tough day out winning only 2 of their 8 matches so didn’t make the grade for finals.

15&Under Maroon had more success winning 6 of their 8 matches.  They qualified for finals but unfortunately went down to a much stronger Albury Blue team in the semi-final.

13&Under Gold won 3 of their 6 matches and managed to qualify for finals but once again the Albury teams stopped us in our tracks and we went down by 3 goals.

13&Under Maroon had mixed results with an even amount of wins and losses after playing 8 games. It was a good effort given the tough competition but the team was unable to have enough points to qualify for finals.

A huge thank-you to our coaches; Michelle, Elisha, Stacey and Fiona.  Your knowledge and dedication is fantastic and the time spent coaching and developing our players is greatly appreciated.

Thanks to the team managers and all the parents and supporters that supported the teams throughout the squad season.

Also thanks to Jan for organising the umpires for all the tournaments

And lastly a massive THANK-YOU to Lyn Flynn for organising the squads again this year.  Your organisational skills are second to none and the countless hours that you have volunteered to our Association is mind boggling - WELL DONE Lyn!
